Settlement Services

Who We Are

Our Newcomer Services team is dedicated to supporting individuals and families as they settle into their new community. We provide a range of programs and resources designed to ease the transition, promote integration, and empower newcomers to thrive. Our services focus on ensuring every newcomer feels welcomed and supported.

What We Do

Arrive Ready Program:

The Pre‑Arrival Program is an IRCC‑funded service that supports skilled refugees and international professionals approved to immigrate to Canada by helping them prepare for settlement and workforce integration before arrival. Delivered online in English and French, the program offers employment workshops, career pathway guidance, credential recognition advice, job leads through virtual job fairs, one‑on‑one coaching, mentoring with Canadian professionals, résumé and interview preparation, language‑accessible document support, networking opportunities, and mental health and adaptive skills workshops.

Settlement Program:

The Newcomer Services Settlement Team supports newcomers in navigating essential settlement processes and accessing community resources. The team provides assistance with government, immigration, and financial applications; identification and health documentation; and guidance on employment, training, and credential recognition. They also connect individuals and families to housing supports, food security programs, mentoring, language training, childminding, and mental health services to help newcomers successfully settle and thrive in their new community.
